90-Mile Portage is the name of my two-man band/collab. with pianoman Ben Cosgrove. This past winter, we recorded two new songs at my house. When I wrote these, I was dreaming a lot about the gulf between where I am and where I’m from. Ben brought my songs into relief playing a small, borrowed piano dampened with tea towels and handkerchiefs. Here’s the first song, Wolf:
